Editorial Standards and Corrections

How our lessons are researched, written, checked, updated and corrected.

What we promise

Every lesson and glossary entry should be accurate, clear for the grade it is written for, original, and honest about what it does and does not offer. Where we are unsure or a check is still pending, we say so.

How content is researched

  • We plan lessons from the grade-level skills described in respected curriculum frameworks, used as reference points only.
  • Where a page cites a source, such as a science agency, a national museum or an education body, we open and read the source before linking to it.
  • We do not invent citations, reviewers, qualifications or awards.

How content is written

  • Lessons and explanations are drafted with AI assistance and then edited by the Courseversity editorial team.
  • Each lesson has clear objectives, plain-English explanations, worked examples, practice questions with answers, and a list of common mistakes.
  • Examples are written for learners around the world and use international English.

How content is checked

  • Every page goes through structural checks: headings, links, images with descriptions, and valid page data.
  • Editors check that explanations, examples and answers are correct and suit the grade.
  • Review by outside subject specialists and teachers is the next stage. It has not happened yet for most pages, and each glossary concept page shows its review status.

How content is updated

When a page changes in a meaningful way, its last-modified date changes. We do not change dates only to look fresh.

Corrections

If something is wrong, unclear or unsuitable for a grade, please tell us. Use the report form on a glossary concept page, or the contact page and choose “Report a mistake”. We read every report, correct confirmed errors, and update the page date when we do.

Independence

Lessons are not sold advertising space, and nobody pays to influence what a lesson says. If this ever changes, we will label it clearly.
